Presentation: Audience Research & AI
This Wednesday, I'll be in Baltimore for the Hacks/Hackers AI x Journalism Summit, sharing how AI has transformed our audience research workflows โ particularly for storing and querying knowledge.
I'll present examples from our work understanding information needs of North Korean fishermen, Chinese migrant workers, and Iranian youth seeking jobs.
These real cases demonstrate how research repositories with confidence ratings and structured queries can help avoid costly false certainties. I'd like to think that if these techniques help in challenging research environments like Beijing, they can certainly work in Baltimore, Brooklyn, or Berlin.
I'll also cover current AI trends in research, my own evolving research toolkit, and if time allows, help attendees design their own repositories. Last minute tickets are on sale here.
